Continuing Education

Dear member,

The Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals is continuously striving to maintain the highest possible standards regarding osteopathic continuing education and training.

Based on the principles of the World Health Organization’s Benchmarks for Training in Osteopathy it is mandatory that you as a member of the Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals participate in osteopathic continuing education courses. As a member you are required to complete a minimum of 48 CEU during every two-year period. 

To maintain records of your progress and update the registration status of your membership, we ask that you submit proof of your course completion in the form of osteopathic continuing education certificates with a clear indication of hours completed for each course.

You can find a list of approved educational facilities on our website. If you are interested in a course that is not listed please contact us prior to registering to ensure that this course will be accepted.

The Board of Directors recommends to the OFOP Members to attend CE Courses that provided by Osteopaths from Associations or Colleges who are members of OIA

    Dr. Shawn K. Centers, DO, MH, FACOP, BCIP is the Chief Medical Officer and staff pediatrician for The Children’s HOPE Center in San Diego, California.

    Dr. Centers was the last and longest physician to work with World renown Osteopath Dr. Viola M. Frymann. He is the founder of the Children's HOPE Center at the Osteopathic Center San Diego, a children's center based on Dr. Frymann's work as it applies to difficult to treat cases from around the World.

    This is Advanced course in Pediatric Osteopathy which will explore the various levels of treatment of the human being physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
